About Me

Dr. Ronald Anthony DiCarlo, or Ron as he's fondly referred to, is a greatly respected dentist from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His birth on January 3, 1949, into a lineage of industrious individuals, shaped his virtues of resilience, empathy, and unwavering dedication. Raised in a humble household with his two brothers and nurturing parents, Ron cultivated an impressive career in dentistry while managing a flourishing personal life centered on his adoring wife, five children, and 16 grandchildren.

Churchill High School was the cradle of Ron's educational growth, where he began nurturing his future accomplishments. His scholarly voyage took him to Dayton University for a four-year stint, following which he chose to delve into dental medicine. Subsequently, he switched to the University of Pittsburgh, where he was conferred with a Dental Medicine degree. In his first year at dental school, Ron encountered his soulmate, whom he wedded on April 8, 1972, during his sophomore year.

Ron and his wife nurtured a vibrant family of three boys and two girls. Remarkably, Ron's role extended beyond being a caring father to also being the family dentist. His patients were often intrigued by his office's "wall of fame," exhibiting photographs and anecdotes portraying his life and patients. This individual touch infused his office with a genial ambiance, paving the way for strong trust and enduring relationships.

Ron's formidable challenge was the diagnosis of multiple sclerosis (MS). Despite the daunting prospects of the disease, he bravely withstood its rigors, keeping it a secret from his children and patients until its manifestations could not be camouflaged. Unyielding in the face of MS, he refrained from surrendering to self-pity, instead leveraging it as a springboard for personal evolution. His persistent efforts to surmount the hurdles in his way were exemplary, and his grit and resilience continue to motivate those fortunate to know him.
